App features for sponsored products¶
This section provides an overview of new features focusing on sponsored products in the Elevate App when Retail Media is enabled.
Beta feature
Retail Media features are currently in closed beta. Contact Voyado if you want to take part in the program.
Sponsored lists¶
Sponsored lists are created on pages. When retail media is enabled on your cluster, the option to create sponsored lists will be added to the Page editor. To add a list just click "+Add list", choose "Sponsored list" and add a list ID.
Sponsored lists are similar to recommendation lists, except they don't have a product selection. Instead, you select a category for them to use. By default, Elevate automatically identifies the category that best aligns with the page's primary list (if one exists). Alternatively, you can manually assign any category of your choice in the "List settings".
On Categories
The selectable categories are based on the categories
attribute supplied in the product feed, but also allows the selection of parent categories for more coverage (e.g. if a product belongs to the category Tops > T-shirts
, you will be find it in both Tops
and Tops > T-shirts
). This lets you choose which level of granularity you want for the list.
Additionally, when a supplier wants to sponsor their products, they pick one or more categories to compete in.
When published, the sponsored list serves as a container that will be populated with products from retail media campaigns provided by your suppliers. During page rendering, a real-time auction determines which products qualify to be sponsored, and Elevate selects the most relevant ones from this pool.
Sponsored slices¶
Sponsored slices function just like non-sponsored slices on a product listing page, allowing you to override the organic ranking and display sponsored products within the organic list. The key difference is that, instead of pulling products from a predefined product set, a sponsored slice acts as a dynamic placeholder. Similar to a sponsored list, it fills in with sponsored products based on real-time bidding.
Adding a slice¶
When retail media is enabled on your cluster, the option to create sponsored slices will appear in the Page Editor. To add a sponsored slice, click "Slices", then select "+ Add Sponsored Slice".
You can adjust the number of products in a slice by editing it. If there are multiple slices (whether sponsored or not), you can also rearrange them—either by dragging and dropping in the slice menu or by selecting a slice from the primary list and adjusting its order.
Sponsored slice content¶
The products displayed in a sponsored slice are limited to those included in the primary list. All slices on a page are populated through a single auction, meaning the products with the highest bids and strongest relevance will appear at the top.
